Dynasty Restaurant @ Promenade Hotel, Kota Kinabalu

Have you try halal Dim Sum before? This restaurant at Promenade Hotel KK offers Hong Kong style Dim Sum for breakfast and lunch. I have tried it few times here and I can guarantee the taste of the steamed Siew Mai (烧卖) or dumpling (饺子) here which filled with minced chicken are equally good than the pork version! You definitely don't want to miss The Dynasty's Prawn Dumping a.k.a. Har Gao (虾饺) as its really big and no unpleasant frozen taste unlike many other dim sum restaurant.

Considering this restaurant are part of the 4 star business hotel, the dim sum's price tag here are a bit higher compare to others. However it worth the bill.

Kohinoor North Indian Restaurant @ Waterfront Esplanade, KK

Almost two months of absence from FoodiotKK after being so occupied with works and personal activities, if this is an online business surely it can be translated as a failure. Obviously another problem along with such delay in posting a food review is: my memory of that particular food / restaurant might no longer as accurate as it should be. This post is the best example I can give as I can hardly remember the name of the dishes nor the price tag though I just came here merely 2 months ago!

If you like spicy food definitely can't miss Kohinoor North Indian Restaurant at KK Waterfront (also called Waterfront Esplanade, not sure which one is official). This restaurant is listed by many travel websites including Lonely Planet and Tripadvisor, and of course reviews by many food bloggers. So for my birthday celebration last February, my girl friend BigFish suggested Kohinoor. Authentic Indian cuisine is always my favorite and never have it since the close-down of  Jaiho Bollywood Cafe, so without a doubt I agreed with the suggestion.

Ocean Seafood Village @ Api-api Center, KK

Almost forgot to record this famous seafood restaurant in Kota Kinabalu...

At the Ocean Seafood Village, next to the Promenade Hotel in town, you hardly missed any type of seafood as long as you can name it. In fact, for most of you maybe discovering some of the living creature here are considered as an exotic adventure in Borneo! Its better than going to an aquarium because whatever you see now, a minute later its on your plate already.

Very huge area, this view is just part of the restaurant, they have another 2 big banquet hall!

Not gummy means yummy! These clams were cooked just right to retain its texture and flavour.

Steamed prawn with egg and rice wine, the meat are naturally sweet because its the best way to taste the freshness!
